Dear classmates, parents and teachers,

  There are a few important announcements for everyone: 

1. Call for Program Participants for a performance organized by Parramatta City Council. The state premier may attend and observe. 

*Performance Time: 4:00pm 24 Sep. Wednesday o Venue: Bayanami Public School Hall, 3 Marist Place, Parramatta 

*Types of Programs Sought: 

(1) Chinese poetry recitations 

(2) Cultural dance/traditional rituals

 (3) Musical instrument performance/Vocals 

(4) Language based theatrical plays/Dramas

 (5) Visual arts inspired by language and culture 

*Programs can be individual or group performances. 

*This date falls on a regular school day, so students will need to head to the performance venue after school. Parental support will be necessary. o We encourage everyone to sign up enthusiastically. 

*Registration Deadline: 29 August 2. Student Art and Short Video Competition organized by the NSW Federation of Community Language Schools. 

*Theme: Open (no restrictions)

 * Art Size: A3 o Video Duration: Within 3 minutes 

*Submission Deadline: 24 October Oct.

3. Granville Campus Chinese Character Writing Competition Award Ceremony 

* Date & Time: 11:30am 23 Aug. Saturday in the school hall 

Wentworth Point Campus: 

Prizes will be distributed in each class between 23 Aug. and 26 Aug. 

*Award-winning works will be compiled and shared via the WeChat group.
